Andrew TAYEBWA is a seasoned Advocate of all Courts of Judicature with nearly 10 years’ experience in in private legal practice focusing on land transactions and conveyancing.
He is a Partner at Meritas advocates where he leads the firm’s practice in Land Transactions, Conveyancing and Real Estate Management. Prior to joining Meritas Advocates, Andrew had had a seven-year stint as a Senior Legal Associate at Aequitas Advocates, which firm he had joined from Birungyi, Barata and Associates.
Expertise
At Makerere University, Andrew was actively involved in students’ politics. He was the Chairman Council of Chairpersons of all halls of residence in Makerere University and Chairman of Mitchell Hall at the same University. In 2007, he contested as an independent candidate in the Guild Presidential Elections.
In November 2016, Andrew established the New Rise Foundation, a non-profit organisation that supports the holistic development of orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda, where he also serves as the Executive Director.
